Carrera is a great place to visit. It's up in the mountains (I don't know which ones) and it is a marble mining community. The mountains appear to be snow covered all year, but they are, in fact, made of marble. In the quarries, they cut the marble slabs to fit just right in the back of huge dump trucks and cart the slabs off to be sold. It is interesting to note that this is where Michaelanglo got almost all of his marble for his statues.
